Our cemetery guidelines ensure peace and respect for all.

Decorations Policy


Effective January 1, 2022

  1. Approved decorations are welcome on gravesites. To protect and prevent damage to decorations, we require any fresh or artificial flowers to be off the ground, in the monument vase and/or attached to the monument, provided there is no interference with the maintenance and upkeep of the cemetery grounds. Exceptions are made for the following, and decorations will be allowed to remain for 10 days:
    • Following interments
    • Easter
    • Mother’s Day
    • Father’s Day
    • Memorial Day
  2. From November 1st to March 31st winter decorations may be placed. During mowing season, April 1st to October 31st, all flowers and decorations not in the monument vase and/or not attached to the monument must be removed so as not to interfere with this process.
  3. The cemetery reserves the right to remove any items from the cemetery grounds that conflict with the rules and regulations of the cemetery, become unsightly, or interfere with the maintenance and upkeep of the cemetery grounds. Unauthorized vases, flowers, wreaths, pictures, cards, or other items are prohibited from being taped, glued, wired, or attached to mausoleum crypts or cremation niches.
  4. Shepherd hooks are not allowed. Solar lights must be kept in the vase if they are to remain on the grounds, limit one per vase. Balloons are always prohibited.
  5. Please contact the office if you are unsure if something is allowed or would like help in choosing something that will not violate policy. If an item is removed from the grave area, it will be labeled and held at the office for 10 days, except for damaged items and/or some plants and flowers. If you have any concerns about the cemetery grounds, please let us know, our goal is to keep the grounds beautiful for all.
  6. Decorations of any sort are not allowed on, affixed to, or in front of the columbarium at any time.

Headstone Policy


Effective April 1, 2026

  1. Temporary markers placed on the grave at time of interment are not meant to be a permanent marker and will not be replaced if damaged or missing.
  2. All headstones must be placed on a size appropriate foundation and installed by a licensed and insured contractor; individuals are not allowed to place their own markers.
  3. Headstones ordered online cannot be shipped directly to the cemetery, and families ordering online will be responsible for submitting a proof for approval to the cemetery and finding a licensed contractor for installation.
  4. Any marker, bench or stone placed on a grave site by a non-approved installer will be considered a decoration and handled accordingly as specified in the decoration policy.
  5. Each full plot is allowed only one tablet (upright), memorial bench, slant, or pillow marker and one grass line or pillow footstone. VA markers count as grass line footstones.
  6. Cremation plots are allowed only one marker: tablet (upright), memorial bench, slant, pillow or grass line.
  7. Markers must be placed in line and direction of existing markers in the block the plot is located in, with no exceptions.
  8. Markers cannot exceed the width of the plot(s) they are placed on.
  9. Any vases or planters must be attached directly to the marker or its granite base, otherwise they will be considered a decoration and handled accordingly as specified in the decoration policy.
